Arrangements for Health & Safety
Under section 2(3) of the Health and Safely at Work etc Act 1974, the employer must not only prepare a written statement of general policy (The Health and Safety Policy), but he must also detail the "organisation and arrangements in force for the time being for carrying out that policy.
The company has therefore introduced full supporting safety arrangements to underpin the Safety Policy. This is in effect the "how to" manual for health and safety management and compliance.
