Asbestos Management
The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 place a duty on building owners [duty holders] to manage asbestos in all non-domestic premises.
Broadly these regulations place a duty on employers to ensure a suitable and sufficient assessment is carried out to identify if asbestos is present and if it is to ensure that:
- Any works that could disturb the asbestos are managed.
- Suitable and sufficient information, instruction and training (Reg 10) is provided to all employees who may be exposed
- Prevent exposure of his employees to asbestos so far as is reasonably practicable
To conform to its legal requirements the company has set out its responsibilities and arrangements for the control of asbestos in its Asbestos Management Plan [AMP]
